Course Certifications:

  • 2-Day WFA (2 year certification)
    Cost: Approx. $150 each (depending on final size of class)
  • ASHI CPR and AED (2 year certification)*
    Cost: additional $35 each – this will be conducted on Friday night

DETAILS:
This 16-hour Wilderness First Aid course provides students with an introductory understanding to wilderness first aid. Hand-on course labs, scenarios and repetition ensure students are engaged and learning for the duration of the course. NOC Wilderness Medicine courses combine multiple styles of learning to help you learn and remember course information after the course is complete.

BENEFITS:
The benefits of getting the WFA certification include increased preparedness, professionalism, and confidence as well as eligibility for special fun rides during which we will practice scenarios in order to keep accident response skills fresh and accessible.

Certification Requirements for League Coaches
NICA-TN requires CPR-WFA certification for Level 2 and Level 3 coaches. WFA certification is recommended for all coaches working with NICA student athletes, but not required. For more information on Coaches Licensing, please visit the Coaches Resources Page.
